Irish Stories and Glories

Irritating
I confess I didn't watch the whole thing, but I was hoping for some beautiful scenery and some wonderful Irish stories. The narrator sounds American and has a monotonous voice and was quite boring. She couldn't tell a good Irish story if her life depended on it. There was some beautiful scenery, but it was passed over too quickly and there was too little of it. It starts in Dublin and gives you nothing of this great, modern city and very little of the history. It then starts heading Northeast and very quickly leaves Ireland and jumps to Northern Ireland. The Great Famine is very briefly covered with little mentioned of the terror and cruelty under the thumb of the evil English invaders. This woman's voice is so irritating and she seems to be so taken with the English I had to exit. I would have given it one star, but there were some lovely views. This is a nice idea, but needs to be done by the Irish!

I really thought this video was great....... having visited Ireland twice ; as it was presented I found it to be very authentic

Nope, not for me.
I really don't know if it was the grade of the movie or just the way it bored me. I wouldn't want to own it and sure won't be watching it again. Poor quality.
